Corporate Responsibility International Identity:
¡Viva Nica!
Fifteen coworkers from around the U.S. and I were selected to go on Medline Industries' first medical service trip to Nicaragua, partnered by Project C.U.R.E. We packed supplies to donate and hosted educational healthcare clinics for a local clinic, school, and orphanage. It was a wonderful experience that I am so grateful for, which allowed me to share helpful healthcare practices while speaking Spanish throughout the week. I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating and becoming great friends with people from different areas within my company. A few of us are now fortunate to be on committees to help usher in the next group of volunteers on future service trips.
I created this one-color t-shirt design as a nod to the Nicaraguan flag’s central emblem. Each abstracted element represents part of the country’s history and identity: the triangle demonstrates equality, the rainbow signifies peace, and the five volcanoes represent the unity of the five Central American countries. I also incorporated logos for Medline and Project Cure, the trip’s sponsors. The same logo was placed higher on the men’s crew neck, and as shown here on the women’s to mirror the v-neck.
