Ring of Color

After completing a new product identity and package design, I was invited by Ella’s Eve Cosmetics to usher in their rebrand and bold new identity as Ring of Color, starting with their two signature lip products. I worked off of their new wordmark, adding a touch of handlettering, and incorporated the dotted motif in the packaging. Texture was tantamount to providing a clear distinction between the company’s matte and gloss offerings. We were able to separate the two by using a velvet matte finish on one and a high gloss spot varnish on the other, as well as contrasting colorways. Both boxes feature sweeping organic shapes with a punch of bold color that echoes the shades found in either finish.
